Our Story
Safety Matters was founded by two longtime friends: a retired Fire Marshal who spent decades on the front lines of public safety, and a seasoned technologist with a background in building powerful, intuitive SaaS solutions.
Together, they saw a critical gap in how small to mid-sized organizations manage safety.
Most tools were either too simplistic — covering only one aspect of safety — or far too complex and expensive for teams without dedicated safety staff. What was missing? A comprehensive, user-friendly, and affordable solution that made safety a shared responsibility across every role in the organization.
That’s where Safety Matters began.

What We Build
We develop intuitive, mobile-ready safety software for real-world users — especially those in youth organizations, schools, nonprofits, and community programs.
Our platform includes three core products:
- Safety Matters App – for incident reporting, inspections, task tracking, and team-wide safety management
- Safety Matters Vault – a document management system for organizing and securing all safety-related files
- Safety Matters Automate – a workflow builder that turns manual processes into digital, trackable workflows
Each product is fully integrated and can be used alone or together — all include the Safety Matters App at their core.
